The Book Depository

This 1930’s Albert Kahn building was originally built as the main Post Office for the City of Detroit and then transformed into a Detroit Public Schools Book Depository.

The Outcome

After many years it became an abandoned historic building. The scope of work for Leidal & Hart on this project included 43,000 SF of façade restoration, including brick replacement, lintel repair & replacement, stone repair and replacement, graffiti removal, and exterior washing.
